IMC Video Presentation – Creative Strategy for Gen Z

For my MARK1055 Integrated Marketing Communications course, I created a video presentation focused on building a creative marketing strategy for Generation Z. Before making the presentation, I researched who Gen Z is, what platforms they use, what content they enjoy, and how brands can communicate with them in an authentic way.

After understanding the target audience, I created a simple IMC plan that included the message, tone, visuals, and digital tools a brand should use to reach Gen Z. I designed clear presentation slides, wrote the main talking points, and recorded a professional and engaging video explaining my strategy. I made sure the content was easy to understand and connected to IMC concepts such as digital media, message appeals, and communication tools.

This project helped me improve my communication, presentation, and strategic thinking skills. I also became more confident in creating marketing ideas for young digital audiences. The experience supported my long-term goals in digital marketing and account management by giving me real practice in analyzing audiences and building marketing strategies.

Developing My SEO and Website Analysis Skills

In MARK2069, I learned how SEO works and how to audit a website. I practiced checking real websites to understand keywords, page titles, loading speed, and overall performance. I completed audits for three websites and identified more than ten issues in each one, including missing keywords, slow pages, and weak descriptions. I also learned how to compare a website with its competitors to see who ranks better and why.
Through this project, I improved my SEO skills, website analysis, and critical thinking. I also created simple reports where I explained what each website needed to fix. AI helped me rewrite meta descriptions, find missing keywords, and summarize the problems in each audit. This experience supports my career goals in Digital Marketing and Account Management because it taught me how to find problems and suggest clear solutions.

Paid vs Shared Media & Content Calendar Project

Another important part of MARK2069 was learning the difference between paid, owned, and shared media. I studied how brands use each type of media and when they should choose one over another. I also created a weekly content calendar for a real brand, which included posting dates, platforms, captions, and goals. I built a seven-day calendar with six planned posts and used real examples from Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
This project helped me improve my social media planning, content writing, and media strategy skills. I used AI tools to generate caption ideas, choose good hashtags, and understand which posting times could get better engagement. I also used AI design tools to create sample visuals for the posts. This experience supports my future goals in Digital Marketing and Brand Management because it taught me how to plan content clearly and consistently.
